A Streaming TV That Does It All
Devices like the Firestick have become insanely popular (they are pretty much essential now), so it was only a matter of time before Amazon tried it’s hand at manufacturing integrate all the functions of a streaming box inside the TV.
So throw out all the boxes, dongles, and sticks, and let your television do all the streaming, no fussy attachments or set-ups needed.
If you are serious about making an investment in your home entertainment system, and you want it to include fast HD streaming, look no further than this smart TV created in conjunction with Amazon and Toshiba.
Lightning Fast HD And Ton Of Features
The Toshiba Fire TV supports all the popular platforms (Netflix, Amazon Go, HBO) straight out the box, and is compatible with third part apps like KODI and Gears TV. All you need is a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection, and the Toshiba Fire TV will have you streaming all your favorite shows and movies effortlessly.
This TV features state of the art Ultra High Definition 4k on it’s 8 million pixel screen for stunning picture clarity and depth. We were blown away by just how good this thing looks. It is available in 43″, 50″, and 55″ screens. It’s quad core processors keep things running smoothly, too. If you have a solid internet connection, you can expect fast, responsive streaming from this unit.
Even streaming games at high resolution was a breeze. It’s simply so much easier to get processing power from an entire TV set than trying to cram it into a small plastic box.
With the Toshiba Fire TV Edition, you also gain access to the whole lineup of Amazon apps, which is pretty comprehensive.
The Center Of Your Living Room
There are multiple HDMI inputs as well, so this TV can easily operate as the central hub of your entertainment center. Hook up you stereo, DVD player, and gaming consoles, and control all of them from one screen.
This device includes an Alexa voice activated remote for hands-free surfing. If you have an Amazon Dot or Echo, you can use this ability to voice control your Toshiba Fire TV from the other room, even. The voice commands usually work pretty well, although sometimes your commands aren’t understood properly.
A Major Upgrade
The only major downside is that it is more expensive than simply attaching a streaming box to a TV you already own. But, considering the speed and resolution of this all-in-one set, it is actually a pretty attractive bargain for the price.
And if you are in the market for a new TV anyways, why not just get one that already incorporates streaming?
A few other minor drawbacks are it’s relatively small memory (only 8 gigs), lack of micro SD slot, and lack of Dolby Atmos (which, curiously, is supported by some of the less expensive Amazon Fire TV boxes)
Wrapping Up
All in all, the Toshiba Fire TV edition is an affordable, fast, and high-resolution option if you are ready to make the upgrade to a smart TV.
