About Kodi
Kodi is probably the most popular (and infamous) media player in the streaming world. Using this program, you can install an almost endless variety of third-party “addons”, many of which allow you to stream free TV, movies, sports, and so much more. Kodi truly changed the game when it was released in 2015, and has faced it’s fair share of controversy over the years. Read on for our full guide on how to install Kodi!
What Does Kodi Do?
Kodi is an open-source media platform. This means that Kodi does not actually provide any content itself, but it does allow you to install an incredible variety of third-party “addons.” These addons are created and maintained by independent developers and provide all types of streaming content. You can find addons that stream shows, movies, live TV, sports, PPV, adult, you name it. Many people use Kodi addons to completely replace cable.
There are some downsides to this, however. There is no guarantee that the content these addons provide is legal in your country, so you do have to be careful about guarding your privacy (ideally by using a VPN). Kodi addons are regularly getting shut down by authorities due to copyright complaints, so an addon that works for you for months may not work tomorrow. Luckily, there are new ones popping up every day, so you will always have options.
Your experience using Kodi will depend on the types of addons you choose to install.
Kodi Addon allows yout to watch on your Fire Stick and Fire TV.
